You can then add in more members to help with these tasks if you think that is necessary, but otherwise, it will be hard to concentrate on fulfilling both of these roles perfectly.<\/span><\/li>\n
  3. On the next tier would be SEO specialists who are skilled at things like checking your rankings and diagnosing site problems, reporting in-depth analytics, and working with other teams like social media, PPC, and content writing to give advice on the best way to proceed. This tier can help out in all areas if needed but will mainly focus on checking rankings, diagnosing problems, and reporting analytics.<\/span><\/li>\n
  4. Bringing up the rear would be the junior members who do things like competition research, directory submissions, social bookmarking, local SEO, and other similar tasks. Junior members are typically new to the field of SEO or have just some knowledge that they are still getting used to. They also do not need as much training as our first two tiers of members because these simpler tasks don’t require as much expertise.<\/span><\/li>\n<\/ol>\n

    Having these different groups it will allow SEO tasks to be completed as quickly as possible and with the highest level of expertise. It also means that anyone can take on different roles as needed to fit their skill set, which is very important when you are working with a small team.<\/span><\/p>\n

    Bear in mind that this structure will probably evolve over time depending on your company’s goals for SEO and priorities, so it may be worth reevaluating which members are doing well or not.<\/span><\/p>\n

    • Technical SEO: Should do things like submitting sitemaps, checking for broken pages, making sure that there are no indexing issues, ensuring that robots.txt is not blocking anything important or dangerous, and performing other technical tasks.<\/span><\/li>\n
    • Content writer: Should write well-optimized content that will be able to rank for the site’s target keywords.<\/span><\/li>\n
